My first time having Jamaican food and I was so blown away that I HAD to immediately come onto Google to post a review. This is one of the most delicious meals I’ve had in my life, and I’m not exaggerating. The stewed oxtail was rich, fatty and melt-in-your-mouth tender; the steamed cabbage was so flavorful, and the plantains were sweet, caramelized and so delicious. While a little pricey ($30+ after tax for a Large), the portions are generous and worth every cent. The service was warm and lovely too, and they made me feel so welcome This was my first time at Claire’s but I’ll definitely be back to try their Jerk Chicken, Jerk Pork and Goat Curry!
When my kids were little we used to come here all the time. Now they’re grownups, and I’m old, and I make my husband grab it for me When I want Jamaican, this is the best in a town where there are like 3000 places. It’s so so so so so good. The goat curry is the best best best in the universe. I just love it. Love it. You will too.
OH MY GOODNESS. GOOD GOLLY MS. MOLLY. The food was off the charts. The service was wonderful, I would give 100 stars if I could. All I wanted for my birthday trip to Chicago was Jamaican food, and a friend recommended this place. Took us straight to flavor town, and not even a touch of disappointment. The ox tails were a first for us, and I was so pleasantly surprised. The jerk chicken was melt in your mouth amazing, the rice was flavorful, the Mac and cheese was amazing(and we love cheese). I can't rant and rave enough about what a wonderful experience it was!! Just go. Go try it out.
It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the atmosphere are equally outstanding. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a vegetarian and non vegetarian great meals and a genuinely inviting environment. The food was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. What made the visit even more special was the kindness and care of the two lovely ladies who prepared and served our meals.
Absolutely delicious food from an unassuming place, the jerk chicken was tender, smokey, spicy, and well seasoned. The beef patty was rich and luscious without being too fatty and The pastry itself was perfectly crisp. The collard greens had just enough tang and were perfectly balanced with the fatty piece of pork as well. The rice and beans was great to soak up the gravy - I only wish there was more gravy. I'm coming back here for lunch and more. Lovely spot keep it up.
Jerk chicken was great: tender, juicy, and fragrant from the generous coating of spices. As expected, it was deliciously smoky, bursting with layered flavors, and had such a satisfying kick of heat. Absolute perfection with the jerk sauce. Excellent collard greens and cabbage also!
Food was delicious and fresh, and the owner Ms.Claire fixed my food with love. She also made fresh juice. I had a pineapple ginger juice it was so refreshing.Dont miss out treat yourself! Oh I can't forget the lovely lady in front she was very pleasant.
love some authentic Jamaican. While not ideal for dine in, the tables are small and there’s only a few seats, the staff is so friendly and welcoming. And it goes without saying the food was excellent. Will be back for takeout
